NIKON D3X & CANON EOS 5D MK II

There is no point, says David Kilpatrick, in having 20MP+ resolution sensor in your full frame DSLR unless you do it justice with suitable optics and shooting technique.

NIKON D90

Though compact, light and ideal for travel, with 12MP the Nikon D90 offers better overall image quality than the D80, and brings a full set of enhancements into the bargain.

NIKON D700

With the same 12MP sensor as the D3, and superb low light capability, the Nikon D700 offers full rame format in a compact body, David Kilpatrick puts it to the test.

SONY ALPHA 900

The Alpha 900 24.6MP DSLR is the first full format high resolution model in Sony's Alpha line-up, featuring the industry's first ever 24.6 effective MP full-frame CMOS sensor.

CANON EOS 40D

NIKON D300

With a plethora of user-set controls and excellent performance at high ISO settings Nikon'a D300 proves itself in the entry-level professional DSLR market.

CANON EOS 40D

The EOS 40D is lighter and more inexpensive than it's rival in the middleweight arean, the Nikon D300, and finds it's familiarity appealing, if a safe decision on the part of Canon.

With 12MP CMOS sensor and high ISO image quality, the Sony Alpha 700 seems a worthy challanger to other DSLRs in its class, and yet, unlike other recent releases, it lacks live view. Is this an issue?

FUJI FINEPIX S5 PRO
